Culture Shock Performing Arts Center is a large 12,000 plus square foot facility which features four large themed classrooms and a huge "family" room. Each of our themed classrooms features hand painted art work lovingly created by members of our Culture Shock family.
Our "Tiki" room painted in a warm mango color with beautiful maple wood flooring features Polynesian Tiki's & tropical birds.
Our "Keiki" room carries a theme of children around the world. The tiled flooring spells out the word "Keiki" which means children in the Hawaiian language. Our Keiki room is specifically designed for our young elementary and preschool students featuring lowered Ballet barres. The walls are hand painted with dolls from around the world and shelves are filled with little dolls representing many nations. Children love the special Ii Ii (pronounced "ee - ee") tree.
Our "Hula" room boasts a spacious tiled Palm Tree dance floor, walls filled with posters from the Islands, Tahitian head pieces and displays of Hawaiian instruments.
Our "California" room features a hand painted Hip Hop dancer looking out to the dance floor and our special "graffiti" wall lovingly dedicated to the memory of Anthony Doucette Jr. who touched so many lives during his short time with us. The wall is a tribute to his life and his courageous fight against childhood cancer. Included in the room are pictures of Anthony including a visit to the set of "That's So Raven" in Hollywood.
Our "Family" room is enormous! We have comfortable couches and chairs set around a large TV. We play the latest family oriented movies available along with the Disney classics. There are lots of magazines to enjoy and we also feature soft drinks and snacks that are available to purchase. Our family room has a very special area set aside just for children called "Keiki Island". The play area features a miniature kitchen, tables and chairs, games, books and a fun checker board table.
At Culture Shock you're family! Our facility hopes to convey that. Not only do we want our students to feel at home but for friends and family to feel comfortable too!
