Culture Shock Performing Arts Center is a large 12,000 plus square foot facility featuring large themed classrooms.
When you walk thru the doors of Culture Shock you are immediately transported into an Island themed waiting area called the "Family Room".
The"Family Room" is a large comfortable area filled with couches and chairs for waiting families. There are magazines to enjoy and Culture Shock always has the latest family oriented movies playing. Our "Tiki Bar" offers soft drinks and snacks to purchase while you wait and there is a special area set aside just for children called "Keiki Island". This is a play area with games, books, a miniature kitchen, tables and chairs, and a fun checker board table.
Culture Shock has their own 'wonder wall' called the "Hall of Fame". The hallway is filled with pictures of our Culture Shock VIP's, our students. Trophies also line the walls above the pictures.
Our "California" classroom features a hand painted Hip Hop dancer looking out to the dance floor and our special "graffiti" wall is lovingly dedicated to the memory of Anthony Doucette Jr., our Director's son, who touched so many lives during his short time with us. The wall is a celebration of his life and his courageous fight against childhood cancer.
Our "Tiki" and "Hula" classrooms offer a Hawaiian ambiance with Polynesian Tiki's, Tahitian head pieces, Hawaiian instruments and pictures.
The 3rd floor classrooms include
the "New York Loft" reminiscent of the old Broadway
Dance Center in New York, the "Broadway" and
the "Backstage" classrooms all dedicated to the
stage arts of New York and the movies of Hollywood.
At Culture Shock you're family! Our facility hopes to convey that. Not only
do we want our students to feel at home but for friends and family to feel
comfortable too!
